Rick Aviation is the vision of former U.S. Air Force serviceman,  John Bombaro. Mr. Bombaro opened up in a small hangar working on small general aviation aircraft at Patrick Henry Field, now known as Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) in 1978.  Forty years later it has grown into the airport's only full-service Fixed-Base Operator (FBO). The company employs over 30 trained, experienced aviation professionals. The company prides itself on providing consistent aviation support services including aircraft maintenance, JetA and 100LL fuel, and flight training. The maintenance department is an FAA Part 145-certified Repair Station, and the flight school is an FAA-Approved Part 141 Pilot School.
